I want to share with you a challenge I am participating in. It is a 26 week Konmari Challenge. So first let me tell you about what Konmari is.

You may or may not have heard about the author Marie Kondo. She wrote the book “The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing”. KonMari comes from the author’s name, and it is what her process is called. The rules are to declutter by category and not room, she also has a specific order that you have to follow. The author says all the items has to be taken out of its place and touched and then ask the question: “Does this spark joy?”. That is the basics of it. I really recommend reading the book.
I joined the KonMari 26 Week Challenge Facebook group. This year I feel like I am all about the weekly challenges, since I am also participating in a weekly sewing challenge.
Bullet Journal
Anyways. Please excuse these messy posts from my bullet journal. I have started writing with a Lamy Al-star fountain pen (which I love) and it makes my handwriting a little bit off. I think I might have to start writing with my Staedtler Pigment Liners and with capital letters to make my handwriting more pretty. But hey – remember, it’s not all about the pretty!
What I decided to do first was to create an overview of each week. I really love this because in the group files there was no such overview, just one long 11 page checklist. There are some blanks weeks here, this is where the click-points are supposed to happen. I decided to just keep them blank in case something came up. For week 20 I changes the category to my home business, as this was a better suit for me. For week 15 I probably will have to extend the hobby category as I have a lot of hobby items. I will probably have one week just for my sewing supplies, and then one week for the rest.
Since I just had an overview I decided I also needed the individual checklist. Wops – I know I wrote bedroom instead of clothes, but I wrote that part after finishing the cleaning checklist so I was so focused on my bedroom.
So here I first want to write a vision of what I want to get out of this category. I might include some notes as well from the book. I also added the categories at the bottom (from the group files) and its ready to get going. One ting I love is that they added the cleaning part as well. I added a bit here as well. This checklist is therefore personalised to fit me.
I am excited for this progress and eager to be finished with this 26 week challenge. Also, I am excited to be sharing the progress here, yes you are my accountability partner now.

I have seen a list that breaks these categories down to smaller sub categories. Have you seen that?
