With a new year comes new resolutions, new goals and a better you. I wish us all the best of luck in this new year, and hope it will become even better than last year! I hope you all had a wonderful celebration with your loved ones, family, friends or alone. I spent mine with my parents and our dogs, first eating a 8 course meal (Images on Instagram) then spent the first few seconds of the new year on my parents bed (their dog gets really scared from the sound of the fireworks and feels safest there) and then my dad and I went outside and down to the harbour to watch the fireworks.
There will be some big changes here on the blog. I will talk about that in a moment. Before we move forward I want to talk a bit about the past.
I started blogging about 11 months ago. Blogging has its ups and downs and I have tried my best to be consistent and create good content for you. Of course my blogging motivation has had its ups and downs and I hope it will be great in 2014.
2013 Stats
My most popular posts have been (not including home page)
Which funnily enough are all sewing tutorials from March and June. They all got over 1.500 views. Of course not all posts are as successful as the others. I actually have 16 posts with only one view and 9 with only two views.
My number one refers is not surprisingly Pinterest, with twice as many as number two, search engines.
Now that we have talked about the past, its time to move forward.
My Personal Goals
I have decided to take a different approach to New Year Resolutions this year. I have one big, huge goal: save enough money so that I (with help from the bank) can buy my own apartment. Preferable someone slightly north of the center, two bedrooms, balcony and that has at least an OK standard. This means I have to work – a lot!
I will also have 3 monthly resolutions. January’s goals are visiting my friend who lives about 1.5 hours away, cutting all lactose from my diet (I stopped drinking “raw milk” in December) and… and… oh and learn how to mix drinks.
What To Expect
I will be cutting down on my blogging. I am thinking of posting 1-2 times a week. I am also looking for contributors (if you want to contribute, comment here or send me an email) to be posting about every other week. They will get their own user on my blog so you always know who is posting what.
Blog Makeover
If you have not noticed I have created a new design for my blog, with new fresh colours and a simple layout. I will be creating different category pages with images and links to my blog and a place where you can find all the guest posts I have written.
I am excited for the changes of 2014 and I hope this will be a great year for me and all of you!
