Today I am sharing with you one of my favorite foods in the entire word. What I am sharing with you today is a traditional south-norwegian dish. It’s mainly made of potatoes, with a meaty center. It takes some time to make, which is why we do not have it too often, and possibly therefore why it’s so good. One of the best parts of this dish is having leftovers the next day. We cut them into slices and lightly fry them with some butter until they get a light brown.
Ingredients
- 3 kg potatoes
- 3 tablespoons of flour
- 150 g gammon steak (pork) not cooked
How to make Komper
- peel and grind in kitchen grinder
- twisted dry
- add flour
- empty the potato juice and use potato flour in the bottom
- shape komper, add meat in the middle
- put in salted water
- simmer for 1 hour

My husband is from Norwegian decent and I’ve never heard of this! I wonder if they made this in his family as a youngin! This looks like it will be tasty, I think I’m going to try it soon! I love new recipes.
Thank you for sharing! I’m sure my family will love it, they’re such meat and potatoes people. ๐
