When writing this title I fell kind of silly and I understand why to some people this would make no sence. The reason I have chosen to combine all these rooms is because they are located in one big open area. Welcome to the first day of Project Organize Entire Apartment. P.S This post includes a LOT of photos.
Today I am going to be sharing a bit of the history of the area. Since we got the apartment almost 4 years ago not a lot changed untill til year. The occasional adding and a bit rearranging of furniture did not have a huge impact so therefor when browsing through the photos on my computer I found some, but not really any area-photos.
This is quite a bad photo, but the only one I found of how we used to have the couch.
This was the mud room area. It is currently in the guest bedroom, which looks like a bomb went off. I am still uncertain of where it will be and how we will make it as best as we possibly can.
Sorry for the iPhone photo. This is what the hallway looks like when I have been rearranging and organizing my room [proved I got too much stuff!]
Another iPhone photo. This is in the mud area. We had at this point switched the second shoeholdething with a bookcase.
The bookcase that we later changed for this beauty that we bought at IKEA called Expedit.
That we later moved to extend the hallway. It is now in the kitchen if anyone was wondering….
We also bought this hanging shelf for over the TV unit.
The right part organized.
The left part organized.
A full view, including some christmas decoration and with the big speakers removed (you can see part of one in the first TV unit photo).
That was part 1 finished of this post, and here comes part 2. This is when we decided to paint the walls grey after they have turned more yellow that white. Instead of painting the entire room at once we divided it into sections. First the living area, then the dining area and hopefully the hallway area this week of the next. We started by moving the furniture away from the walls and removed the tv unit
TV removed…
Left part gone…
Right part removed…
Then we had to remove all the holes in the wall. With something I do not even know what is called in norwegian.
The wall…
Sanding around the window. You can actually see what lies under the plaster. If you can see it, the space used to be a yellow-orange colour.
The edge has started to be sanded. You can tell it is more smooth on the right then the left.
Sanding is dirty business.. But once that was done, the painting could start. I think most of it is pretty self-explanatory, so I will not comment after each.
Some filler-thing which makes the edges smoother.
Here you can clearly see how yellow the white walls had become.
I also have some pretty decorated photos.
This is before we put our TV back. I just loved it, looks so nice and relaxing. When I grow up and have my own house I want to have one living room and one TV room. I had forgotten how nice it was without a TV.
This is on top of a cupboard that also have spent time in the living room. It was actually in my bedroom to begin with before I kicked it out. That was all the photos I had for today. Wow! Really? NO! April fools! More photos for you guys!
When we moved the furniture back after painting we rearranged the living room and added a home office space.
