In the apartment there is this long wall with no natural light, really ugly lamp, and awesome red shelving unit and blah walls. When my dad was away a few weeks ago my older sisters idea, my technique and my mums doing made this blah room into stripe-awesomeness. Here is the blah-before image.
The first thing we (I mean mum) did was to paint all of the half wall panel from slighty yellow to a cotton white. Such a difference I know!
Then we (I mean mostly my older sister and mum) measured up two stripes on the wall with take, painted the outline white (to seal it) nad let it dry. Then painted two coats of grey paint. Just after the second was applied we removed the tape and it looked quite awesome.
However something was missing. A third line. So we did the whole process over again and voila!
Look at this beautiful and crisp line.
Now we only need to get some new lamps and my mum is thinking of having a family gallery wall here.
And here is just to see the full effect.
