When my sister and I moved back home, her to take her masters degree and me because I felt like some change and not arguing over who keeps the dog when. Everyone moved around. My sister and I moved into our parents bedroom (check out my “half” here) my parents moved into my little sisters bedroom and she moved into the office/guest room.
My parents moved into a room with a red wall. Totally worked for my little sister – not so much for them. I did not get a change to take before photos, sorry! But I will share the photos I have. I must just say its amazing how much a room can change going from only one wall being bright red and turning it calm blue.
Before:
Since they did not want any red paint viewable, they first went around all the edges with white paint.
During:
After:
They also painted the back of their closet the same colour – which is the first think you see as you enter the room.
Personally I love the candle holders in the window sill. It really fits in their room. You can’t really tell in the photo, but it’s quite a cramped room, and since we are redoing the hallway/library into an office there is a lot more stuff crammed in here. Also, they are going to add wallpaper on the wall to right of their painted wall so I shall give you an update when that is done.

color does make a difference!
it reflects light differently, and gets you into a different mood. this blue is more calming than the firey red!
great choice!

Color always makes a room feel new and beautiful. My bedroom is a rich burgundy color and I love it. Nice color choice.
