This is a really old post, from the apartment I first lived in when I started this blog.
My sister bought a vinyl buddha for her wall the previous autumn. The silver looked great on her white walls. Earlier that spring it started peeling quite a bit on the side of the face. After watching one of those interior shows she decided that she wanted a blue wall. Me, being as clever as I am, told her that she should paint over the vinyl and peel it off after. She was so excited.
Being a non-blogger as she is she did not take many pictures during the process. I also could not really get the colour well in the photos, but it is called Stonewashed Denim.
Personally, I LOVE IT! I thought she should paint the whole room this colour, and I told her a bit too many times. The colour just looks so fresh. I love the fact that you can see it when you walk though the front door. I have never really noticed it before as it was just white, but now I do! A couple of months later she painted the entire room – it looked as nice as I had imagines and she as so happy with it.
Do you have any vinyl on your walls? Did it start peeling off or how did you prevent it from doing so?
I would love if you left me a comment :)
